I note that their choices don't include simply leaving without doing anything involving a book. That "leave a book" involves a price is worrisome. The title "Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase" certainly is promising given how they've gotten here, but that price — or consequence — makes me wonder.

An onion and a TARDIS? I... that implies that each world they visit is bigger than the previous, all while they're getting closer to whatever is the center. I'm trying to wrap my brain around this, and it might even be working. But that also suggests some serious N-dimensional trickery.

If the place they just left to come to the book...shop? is mundane, I gotta wonder what she considers place they originally came from.
