State of the Lyn... sick, sick, sick

(Sick - first thing that came to mind when I typed that - Yay, Paypal/Smashwords reversed their censorship, now I can go back to selling dubcon incest with people with animal bits!)

That aside!!! I have been sick since probably-Saturday definitely-Monday and am just worn. the heck. out. I have done almost no writing at all - just enough to start working on the next book of Addergoole, and something like 100 words of Porter. I'm drooping.

I have THINGS to blog about in terms of house; I'll try to get up the energy later today. But Not Dead Yet, at least.

Really can't, but I think I can stay upright and functional for 8 hours today without killing myself or my coworkers

If you want the tip, people at the Co-op where I live swear by homemade ginger tea. Peel and thinly slice the equivalent of two tablespoons of raw ginger, then put it in a pot of roughly four cups of water or so and boil it. I like to grate in a little fresh lemon zest and squeeze in fresh lemon juice as well. After it boils, you pour some of the steaming result through a strainer into your cup and drink it just like that. Even just breathing in the steam is helpful, especially if you have cough or sore throat symptoms. Plus...it's delicious. :o)

My random Thing - if you have a mildly sore throat, try really intense mint gum. It's got about as much menthol as Halls or other throat things (which is what the painkiller and cough suppressant in most of them is), tastes better, and tends to be cheaper.

I found this one by accident, and it has made many of my colds much less miserable, as it also gets rid of that sort of gross manky taste in one's mouth a cold can bring.
