Last night, I asked my spousal unit what everyday object I should cover next for Lexember.
"Urine," said he.
So, today we have the crude words for urine and excrement, with vomit thrown in for good measure. These are the equivalent of "piss," "shit," and "puke;" because I have yet to figure out where the Cālenyana eventually get their "scientific" sorts of words. They don't have Latin to pull from.
Back to the topic at... hand?
These are the noun forms; I'm not doing verbs right now.
dyen - piss
pyemen - shit
tyep - puke
I was asked yesterday where the pronunciation guide is - it's here.
There's an audioboo of my vowels here, and one of Cālenyan vocabulary here

Date: 2012-12-13 04:52 pm (UTC)The Cālenyan vowels are about what I thought, modulo your pronunciation of /æ/ (the "cat" vowel). I'll be happy to provide IPA for them if you like.
I tried listening to the "Wrong, as well as Wrung" boo, but even with my output volume at the max I can just hear you speaking, but can't make out the words. Hopefully that was your first boo.

Date: 2012-12-13 04:56 pm (UTC)IPA would be pleasing; my accent makes everything hard to list by "like the way I say cat" and so on.

Date: 2012-12-13 05:00 pm (UTC)You're getting a fair amount of pop and aspiration on /p/ and /t/, especially at the beginning of stressed syllables. This is very common. I don't know what kind of mic you're using, but try putting it a bit to the side of your mouth instead of right in front, and angled so it still "faces" your mouth. The idea is to get it out of the direct flow of the airstream.
(Did I mention that I was senior linguist at Dragon Systems, the developers of the first general purpose speech to text dictation systems?)

Date: 2012-12-13 05:01 pm (UTC)I was just glad to be able to get anything recorded; it was panic-attack inducing. I'll keep your tips in mind should I manage to try again, though.

HTH.
* Also changed
- evident typo "uy" → "ty" for palatalized T
- pronunciation gone to goan for the number 7, b/c "gone" looks like gone = gahn... Oy. This is why we use slashes and brackets and quotes, oh my!
Re: on wiki
Date: 2012-12-14 12:51 am (UTC)Typo changes good, and thanks for the IPA.
uy was indeed supposed to be ty.
And, oh, my numbers still have the way I /was/ spelling things. I should change that at some point. Thanks. (Decided to eliminate double vowels. This language has evolved quite a bit over time).
