aldersprig: an egyptian sandcat looking out of a terra-cotta pipe (campnano14)

I'm just not feeling Episodes, the  camp nano project I've been working on - I mean, I was having fun with it, I think I'll have fun with it again, but right now? No.  Not at all.

Options include:

* Keep trucking on it. (ick)
* Write "and other projects" and count all wordcount in April toward my 40K goal (Seems like cheating)
* call it a split month, as I've done before, and do 15K words on Addergoole: Book two complete rewrite (this is the one I'm leaning towards).

Thoughts?

Eh, I think the only way you can really cheat at NaNo is if you lie about your word count. Or write a bunch of random nonsense words or something.

It seems to me that your first option is already out. If you're not having fun with the story anymore, is there any reason to continue it? You can always go back to it later on and maybe find it fun again, but forcing yourself through a project will probably just make you hate it, especially a NaNo project (at least that's been my experience). I'd say work on something you actually want to work on, and let the other rest for awhile.

Either of the last two seem good. But if you feel like the second one is cheating and the last is what you're leaning toward, by all means do that one!

Only you can decide what cheating means to you. Words on another project are, I think, still words towards your total, but it's how you feel that counts.

So split month sounds like a good option.
