Interesting that you use the new (dark) moon for lycanthropy instead of the usual full moon and that the moon-bound need to look up at the sky to change instead of it being automatic on the start of a moon phase whether you are locked away in a dark basement or not, such as is more usual in lycanthropy tales. I liked it.
