Rozen wasn't a virgin when he came to Addergoole, but he wasn't exactly experienced, either. A lot of what shaped his sexual personality came from Dita and then Mea, who taught him that women like fierce, rough partners who know when to listen and when to take orders (rarely).

When he left school, he found himself hungry - there had always been pretty girls around in Addergoole, and there were always girls he could have, for one level of moral behavior or another. A frank discussion with an older stripper (she reminded him of Dita, although neither of them might have been pleased with it) ended up with Rozen in position of protector-lover for three of the younger dancers. He found there was something about their delicacy and strength that turned him on more than Mea ever had.

Under Kai's collar, it wasn't so much that Rozen reverted as that he found the culmination of everything prior. He was the strength and protector. He could be wild, he could obey. Rozen is so entirely turned on by his situation with Kai that it's hard to remember he's supposed to be angry and aggressive.
