House musings: under da stairs

Thing I want in the house, but only in a for-fun way and would probably never actually do:

A mural of the cupboard under the stairs, on the stairwell, hiding hidden, well, cupboards.

Alternately, turning the area under the stairs into a tiny guest room (eseme ;-)

More reasonably - there's this page of ideas (the wine cabinets are a great idea but I dislike the execution; the bathroom's awesome but the stairs are right next to the extant bathroom.)

Several plans for storage under stairs.. I like the one that looks like library stacks.

And speaking of beds under the stairs: how about this?

Tossing some other random ideas at you, for fun:

- electric fireplace
- TARDIS doorway (it's smaller on the inside!)
- convenient location for a litter box
- Narnia

I REALLY like that. In all seriousness, I think if you go with any of these ideas, you should go with that.

We found one that was similar, but drawers instead of carts, that is our current plan.

This is next year or the year after, most likely... but I will post pictures of EVERY home improvement project.

Well, that would be 2 people who might visit us in singles. :-)

I think it's an awesome idea.
