Apocalypse Bingo!

I’m hosting Apocalypse Bingo over on Dreamwidth!

I'm trying something new - this bingo card has ==challenges== to it!  You can be going straight ahead and suddenly turn left!

I will takes prompts/suggestions on any of these that aren't ==challenges==.  Since I'm hosting, I'm going to try to get a bingo and I'm going to try to take a route that leads me few at least a few challenges.

"Citadel with secret knowledge of the past" is clearly in the Planners 'verse. Today, someone is looking for information on animal husbandry -- perhaps artificial insemination techniques & preservation and transportation requirements, so that they can expand/mix their gene pool of [domesticated animal of your choice] without having to move the animals back and forth through dangerous territory. Optional bonus points if they can eventually get the genetic material packet down to something they can move by carrier pigeon? That's probably a lot easier if they want to move pollen than semen. (I guess that goes dangerously well with the neighboring "repopulate the species".)

I badly want Post-apocalyptic Dog to be a shaggy dog story. (What does the * mean?)

I also want to combine "FULL fall-out shelter" and "Infertility". Two thoughts: the shelter is full, but how long will it be that way? And: the shelter didn't used to be full, and nobody's come in.

Repopulate the species could be an alien breeding program, akin to the Quagga Project (https://quaggaproject.org/).

Slept through the apocalypse: accidentally, for reasons unrelated to the apocalypse. (Or at least, the initial sleeping was unrelated; possibly failing to wake up was apocalypse-related.) Waking up in quarantine, with sufficient linguistic and cultural drift that communication is challenging.

Or rebooting an AI after the power has been out for a long time.
