Abby and skinny-Liv slept in beds bracketing Liv-1, who had been tied down probably more thoroughly than she needed to be. Abby had thought she’d have trouble falling asleep – a strange bed, a strange world, and with no idea what might be out there – but she was asleep almost before her head hit the pillow.

I continue to be intrigued by this series! Hmm. Re doors and ways back: Abigail still has that amulet that's both key and sword, shield and lock, yes? Could she make use of it to at least circle back to the first mall they found, the one directly adjacent to their own? And what was in that wooden box the herb/spice merchant gave not ragged!Liv?

I've noticed that skinnier Liv, ragged Liv, seems to have her head on her shoulders in ways that not-raggedy Liv doesn't. I don't know if that's the effects of the candy on not-raggedy Liv, or what, but it's interesting! And I'd really like to meet that, to quote alt!Vic Carter, weird Sandy-Sandy pair somewhere.

Normal! Safe! Except for those increasingly moving vines. I think we can probably guess what got this particular Abby.

I see Liv-1 hasn't run off, and — hope of hopes! — might be seeing the candy wear off some. That statement "It doesn’t have to all be on you." has me wondering: should Abby have taken her up on that? It might've given Liv-1 a better sense of responsibility. Or the candy might've kicked in and she'd've charged directly into the vines.

Wasn't there an agreement that if one said scram, everyone scrammed? Here's hoping that there's some scramming that happens right quick.
