“He has something down in the basement of the building.”  Sal’s voice sounded tight when Ctirad came to himself.  “Here, kid— Ctirad — drink some more water.  It’s not a creature, it’s some sort of really Bad Change, from what I can tell.”

“Bad Cha

I am reminded, especially by that poison gas reference, of Amantia, Argent, Aegeus and a young man Sybil referenced but we never saw, Nolan. Admittedly rough changes, but good people. Ohgod, this isn't Nolan, is it?

Okay whew. ... Is this fae less communicative/possibly no longer sentient, as well? I notice they didn't speak, where someone like Amantia or Argent would have, likely right away and in the general vein of 'Please get me out of here and stop trying to use me for evil!'

Frak. Is there a friendly telepath or telempath without a touch-to-use ability requirement who's willing to ask the mental equivalent of 'may I come in?' and start a conversation? ... Yeah, first thing I leap to is talking to the corrupted? shifter, thinking they're trapped rather than evil. Chanter, everyone.

Hee! CT certainly is very observant. And... not just observant, but perceptive. He puts together patterns into useful conclusions.

Also, I think he'd like to be paddled a bit ;)

Ctirad is gaining confidence with Timaios, which is a Very Good Thing.

• Timaois’ despair
-> Timaios’
> This typo keeps appearing. It might help you to pronounce the name to yourself as you type it: tim-EYE-os. At least, that's how I pronounce it, partly because it looks like Greek to me, and when I say that, I mean it literally.

• BEsides
-> Besides

• wh8ile
-> while

• ERmenrich
-> Ermenrich

• You have you duties

I suspect Ctirad may have nightmares tonight about what he saw in that basement.

Ctirad has surprised himself, and me too, with how he was talking before they headed for bed. It's a quite formal style that I mostly see in translation, or as a speech pattern of a wildly different culture (e.g. the Khajiit in the Elder Scrolls games), rather than directly in English.

I still like seeing the changing dynamics between Ctirad and Timaios, particularly with Sal involved. I think Sal may help Ctirad relax. Perhaps Ctirad is coming out of that extremely fragile state? He still has a long way to go, though.
