In line with two thank-you stories on Patreon (Learning the Language & With a Cage), this is a thank you for an anonymous gift I received off my wish list - the Speedball printing kit, an awl, and linen binding thread!

And for the first time in nearly a thousand years, the Mother of All, the Queen of the Gods, was able to take a nap without interruption from her children.

This does seem less than fair to the kids, and mostly an excuse for mom to pick flavors of things to bind them to. (In defense of humans, which I appreciate, but had she at least told to behave better before that?) Sure, the humans collectively are more creative -- but I'm going to bet there are many orders of magnitude more humans, and the inventing is done by relatively few of them, not necessarily quickly or solo or in distinct leaps. That one out of eight kids actually came up with something new in a decade is pretty impresive.
