Connecting — or re-connecting — with people is a lot of work. It's something I'm not particularly good at, whether from lack of inclination or lack of ability or both I'm not sure.

I'm sorry about your grandmother. I thankfully don't know much about Alzheimer's, but I know it's horrible to see your loved ones succumb.

I hope that your relatives feel the same way you do about seeing you before the next funeral, and that you find ways to work it out.
