I suspect there are enough people around who think rabbits are food-not-pets to address this problem, if they can keep team "too cute to shoot" from leaping in the way. Especially if they actually *are* food, which isn't at all a given.

Also, when you have a bunny that stands that tall, exactly how do you convert it from nuisance to food in the first place? I suspect you begin at high-explosive artillery shell and work up from there. This assumes that giant alien bunny is food in the first place.
