My first reaction on reading this was "Woohoo, a Fairy Town story!". Especially with the mentions of some of the other Fairy Town characters we've seen.

I'm intrigued with the outsider's view of Katydid's work. Presumably Yarrow has come up to the at-least-partly-converted shoe factory. But what does she actually see? Yarrow seems like an excellent ally to have, assuming Katydid's tricks don't weird her out too much. But I'm also thinking that "Magic didn’t solve everything" is a hint that Yarrow may not be entirely human either.
