Can't decide if I want this to be stand-alone or a character intro, and if the latter, does it follow Sheen, the uncle, the nephew, or several of them?

Well, it’s a side story to Sheen’s actually story with his other partners in crime, Verve and Sedge :-D

Ooh, I like this character, and I'm intrigued by this world where loss of limb seems so excessively common.

to be fair, I don’t think it’s all that excessive - we’re looking at this from a prosthetic-creator’s point of view; he tends to meet people who need a hand.

How did Sheen know it was Sgt. Brady?

I am not enough of an artist to be able to come up with the sort of arm that Sheen is wearing, or might make. I am imagining something that looks quite complex, yet someone who understands the workings of that kind of limb would see it is utilitarian and plain. (Also, I suspect that wearers will probably decorate them if they don't hide them instead.)

I would've liked to see Sheen actually say "and the arm and the leg", but you've made it pretty clear that he did so.

I wonder about Sheen's background, given how cagey he is about it, and the amount of prosthetic work he has in place.
