The house certainly has opinions, though in the final case here I'm not sure quite what it's trying to get across. Certainly getting bopped with a towel or napkin is going to get old after a while.

I'm still glad to see that the house likes Mélanie and Jasper.

I am kind of curious exactly what the house is. A transformation? Something that went separately sentient? A ghost?
