partridge, pear tree...
Dec. 4th, 2011 10:42 am...Neither, yet.
Yesterday was a weird shopping trip:
Hardware store for two pallets of compressed wood bricks, which are bricks of, well, compressed wood-processing byproduct (Scraps and sawdust) used for firewood fuel.
Then to our favorite gourmet-food-store with the gravel floor, which is having a going-out-of-business sale, although the "sale" part of that seems to have escaped them. We got some tins of fish, at least.
Yarn store for some last-minute Christmas knitting, then another yarn store (Wanted to buy local, but local should have something useful in non-wool, please). Beer store for (name redacted)'s gift. Wine store for Irish Cream.
We finally went in the Russian Food Store, and bought some Russian fish in a can. That was... surreal.
On to the hardware store, the grocery store (Ack!) and home. Jiggity jig?
All in all, a busy but fun day. And today I get to start figuring out conlanging between painting trim and going out for lunch.
While I'm gone, check out
clare_dragonfly's Garden of Prose the theme is "fences & gates."
