Dom and Xandro's objections rode over each other; they both stopped; Jamian sighed. He tried again. "Xandro. Bathroom. Dom. Food. It's not safe anymore."

It might not ever be safe again.

I suppose, if I knew the Addergoole 'verse and the characters well enough, I'd understand what's going on. But I don't and I don't, so I don't.

of course that relies on the assumption that the one asking for four years is not Jamian as it doesn't say who's saying what anywhere
