Getting Ready: Enerenarie

 "I have every faith in you, Enerenarie."  Enrie's mother smoothed a pair of pants into the loaded satchel.  "You're going to do us proud; you're going to do your family proud."

 

"Of course I am?"  Enrie picked up the last pair of boots and slotted them into their accustomed place in her luggage.  "And when I am done, I will be a Diplomat.  Of course."

 

"And before you have even begun, you are royal.  Don't ever forget that."  Her mother kissed both of Enrie's cheeks in turn, tugged her braids smooth, and ran her hands down Enrie's dress.  "Now, you have everything packed?"
