So, I've decided to make myself plug everything into My Fitness Pal and see how far I can get with weight loss that way.

It set me up with the following goals, which I'm going to playtest for a week or two before deciding if I want to keep:
Nutritional Goals
Net Calories Consumed* / Day 1,410 cal/day
Carbs / Day 176.0 g
Fat / Day 47.0 g
Protein / Day 71.0 g

Fitness Goals
Calories Burned / Week 390 cal/week
Workouts / Week 2 Workouts
Minutes / Workout 30 mins

Yesterday I netted 7 calories over, which, for not really planning ahead, I'd say is a win.

Does it help to use? Because it seems like a royal pain in the mikta to get it set up. Friends at my knitting group either swear BY it or swear AT it, and I don't have the money to waste unless I'll really USE it.

Good to know... I think I'll join you. You started today, right?

This should make you feel better

My first entry, my breakfast--

"All American Pie" chocolate turnover. Y'know, the el cheapo things at Wal-Mart? yeah... froze it last night and had it for breakfast.

(sheepish grin) When a girl wants chocolate but is allergic to milk, there really aren't a lot of inexpensive options!

Supposedly. I just know that it's THE signal, y'know? Time to break out the comfy pants for a few days, put PMS warnings on the poor Y-chromesomes' cell phones... GRIN.

Actually, EVIL GRIN.

Do you keep track of exercise? any good sites for figuring out what an exercise ADDS UP to? I have to build specifically due to disability.

What are your workouts like? I'm constantly looking for stuff I can do, not because I bore easily (I do), I hate to exercise (Ditto), or I resent being treated like a "wuss" in any way (mega-ditto). On top of all that, there's stuff I physically cannot do, because of a combination of disability and bad balance. If I /can/ accomplish something physical, I tend to shout it to the rooftops.

So when I find a weight work out that at least covers the first three, AND I can actually do as presented without having to "ramp down" to some other modified version, I wanna share.

Take a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fl854HTRCo
Bear in mind I'm just a fan looking for things to keep me moving, not affiliated.

and if you hate it, send me something in return? GRIN- there's got to be more stuff out there for us couch farmers.

I've been using MFP for maybe a year now. Some aspects can be a pain, but on the whole I find it pretty helpful.

You can enter exercise, though they insist on talking about calories per minute. I got around that by working or about how many CALORIES PER MILE, goddammit, I burn, and then setting up custom exercises like "walking 1/10 mile (NOT MIN)"

I mostly use the Android phone app.
