I asked for something fun to write here; this is to the 4th prompt, from Lilfluff (Second generation Cali-Cats as kittens. Kittens at play, what could be cuter?)
"And this is where we... well, you can see for yourself, your Lordship." The slave acting as a guide gestured over the half door.
His Lordship frowned. He wasn't used to that sort of talk, especially not from a costumed moddie. "What sort of... oh." He didn't quite manage to hide his smile. "Ooh."
In the well-carpeted room, four - kittens? toddlers? - small moddie children tumbled, one of them, grey-striped ears and black-tipped ears, making little baby-growl noises. "They're...?"
"Second generation, your Lordship. The one with the Siamese markings is my get."

Date: 2014-07-25 10:05 pm (UTC)But the main point of my writing this wasn't to express my dislike of Tirnacali, since I've already done that, but to recommend a really good transfurry fiction (since I assume you have at least some interest in that to be writing about it). The fiction is The Paradise Setting. It's a limited open world (anyone can write in it but stories are approved by the creator). Not a lot of updating being done these days but it's not dead.
The basic premise (which is covered in more detail on first link below) is thus: the setting is basically indistinguishable from the Real World up until 1987, the year when people first begin to spontaneously transform into furries. There's also some limited transgender incorporated into the setting, but it's not fetishized.
Exactly one person transformed in Year One (i.e., 1987), and the number of furries doubles in late August each year. The initial story in this setting, A Kind of Paradise, is set in Year 21 (i.e., 2007), when there are just over one million furries. The next year (2008) will add a million, for a total of two megafurries, and so forth. The stories range from the year 2000 through to 2010 (~8k furries to ~3m furries). The entire world will be furry in 2020.
Every year it's possible that an already-changed person could change again. With increasing rarity, all less than one percent: A species change. A gender change. A combination of both. The next year there is about a 25% chance that the person will revert to their original gender/first species.
There is also something along the lines of the blindness of the gods operating here, so the non-Changed see the Changed as they were when human. This eventually fails, first in limited locations and then globally.
This first link is to the setting page. It lists the stories in chronological order and also has some more in-depth details on the setting, for those that are curious.

This next link is the category page. This is where new stories initially get uploaded to. It's been awhile since the setting page has been updated so I suggest reading all the stories on that page, then coming here and reading any that don't show as already clicked on:

This is far and away the best transfurry fiction I've ever read. If you're interested in furry or especially transfurry fiction then I can't recommend this enough.
Cheers,

Date: 2014-08-04 01:11 pm (UTC)I generally don't like when someone posts typo/grammar crit with no comment on the story - it makes me feel like you're only reading with a red pen out, not reading for content at all.
