That covers a period 24 hours long, or maybe 25. WHAT TIME ZONE? Or, maybe better, what's that in UTC?

No, I mean it. "On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog on Kiritimati (Christmas Island) Daylight Saving Time and running on UTC +15, due south of Hawaii and a full day ahead of it."

I know (And I corrected it) - it's frustrating for me, not because I don't know people are in different time zones, but because I have yet to find a way to notate that time that people (not just you) don't nitpick (And I have a hella hard time remembering if we're in Standard or DST time).

And it DOESN'T HELP A BIT that so many people and places and websites use "EST", or "_ST" in general, as if it meant "the time we're using now, what-evah". More forgivably, in the UK it's called "Summer Time", and I've had the S mistaken for that.

Here's a guide to Daylight Saving Time around the world. For US this year, it started Sunday, March 9 and will end Sunday, November 2. The flip is always at 2 a.m. Sunday, skipping the 2:xx hour in spring and doubling it in fall ("spring forward, fall back").

But yes - people do that "EST" all the time, and I didn't know until a couple years ago that it's not always *S* t
