When I go walking on lunch, I do my Mr. Rogers dance: I change my shirt for a high-necked t-shirt (sunburn, sweat), change my shoes out at the car for durable flats (distance, sweat). My (male, engineer) co-workers have asked, more than once "who are you trying to impress?" with the heels and dressier shirt.
I can't seem to get it through to them that I dress up because I enjoy looking this way.
