Ideas for post-apoc crews/people wandering around in my brain

Outside Help - a crew that bounces from population base to population base, providing jack-of-all-trades outside help (they got their name from a challenge back in school where they provided, as you might guess, outside help).

Historian - a single woman (and perhaps a bodyguard Kept, later), moves a similar circuit, writing down people's memories of history and, a la Foxfire, everything they can remember about their profession pre-apoc.

Square Miles - a crew decides to rehab a portion of the US in square mile portions, laid out with a grid of walls, one square mile a year (the goal being a 10x10 mile grid when they're done).

I'm actually really taken with the idea of someone post-apoc (probably further post apoc than Tat would've been) going and Indiana-Jones-ing pre-apoc ruins.

Like, I would write that, if I didn't already have a bajillion projects.

So they'd better have a program in place to maintain continuity for their hundred-year project: not only ongoing recruiting, but keeping the focus of the program. This is a bit like the social issues confronting generation ships.

Ohhh. I was ... Certainly not everyone in the Faeapoc 'verse is fae. You didn't say anything in the post about a fae crew, and I guess I'm used to thinking human by default.

Ah, yes, no, Inventrix can tell you the %, but true, only a small percentage are fae.

But when I think about "Crews" in Fae Apoc, they have always, to date, been fae crews. Shiny magic!

I can't find my updated spreadsheet but right after the apocalypse it's about 1 in 1000 people in the US are faerie, roughly. It creeps up over time, because Addergoole.

*pops up* Crew is a thing in Addergoole! It's a particular term for a group of peers/companions that are united together in more-than-but-not-necessarily friendship. You can thus generally assume that "crew", when used in the faerie apocalypse universe, is referring to faeries.
