Talk about some of the wild animals that might be found!

Ooh, I love the wild animals of Reiassan!

Reiassan has, firstly, several variants on the weasel. The one that they refer to most often as "weasel" bear the most in common to real-world fishers but larger, although they also have domesticated a small-cat-sized weasel as more of a house-pet and mouser.

Speaking of mice, I haven't put much thought into the rodentia of Reiassan, but I imagine there are always seed-eating small things in the grass, and, although Reiassan is mostly canyons and mountains, there is still grass.

There are large-cat type predators on Reiassan, everything from bobcat sized to something bigger than a mountain lion. I don't know about other predators - I don't think there are dog-types, and I'm not sure about bears. There are definitely Very Large Badgers.

And there are eohippus, wild tiny horses, and of course wild goats, although the native wild goats are very different indeed from the domesticated goats the Calenyena and Bitrani brought with them.

Primates - should there be primates? Reiassan split off from the other major land masses a very long time ago, but it did have a humanoid population for a while. Creepy little goblin monkies? I'll have to think about it. Probably down in the south.

Lots of weasel-types and kitty-types, though. It's not a good place to leave anything lying around. Anywhere.

Capybaras!

They're too cute not to have. BIG and cute, that's a rare combo.

Capybaras easily make friends with other animals, because they are slow and nonthreatening as well as large enough not to feel threatened. Small birds and monkeys will stand on capybaras to get a free ride to wherever the capy is going. It's pretty great on the whole.

In the 1960s, a Japanese zoo imported capybaras for the first time and promoted them as "the animal that loves hot springs as much as the Japanese!", which created a short capybara fad in Japan. Capys do in fact love hot springs and all forms of bathing, and zoos in Japan will often give capys a bathing area designed to look like a traditional outdoor bath, which the capys don't mind and the visitors find adorable. (The traditional fruits and/or flowers floated in the water for the scent usually end up as capy snacks.)

Here is a video of a capybara surrounded by guinea pigs, apparently largely unbothered by the giant among them! (starts with ad, sorry)

On the other hand, it's nice that the real-life Rodents Of Unusual Size are friendly and cute! There is a zoo in Japan (Nagasaki Bio Park) that is famous for its capys and has a lot of videos of them on Youtube. They like to walk up to visitors and flop down for belly rubs.
